The BBC has announced details of the second series of drama Vigil. Viewers were gripped during the first series, which saw Amy Silva, played by Suranne Jones, investigating murky goings-on aboard a nuclear submarine.
In series two, she will once again by joined by Kirsten Longacre, played by Rose Leslie, as a new case takes them into the world of the Royal Air Force. Filming for the six-part drama, made by Line of Duty producers World Productions, will begin soon in Scotland and Morocco.
The story will see Silva and Longacre tasked with uncovering the cause of multiple unexplained fatalities at a Scottish military base. Entering the hostile and closed ranks of the air force, the pair must face the deadly warfare of tomorrow as they fight for their own future.
