But young guns Shubman Gill (52 not out) and Dhruv Jurel (39 not out) joined forces, forging an unbroken partnership of 72 runs for the sixth wicket, ultimately sealing India's victory on the penultimate day of the match.
Despite Shoaib Bashir's impressive figures of 3 for 79, adding to his five-wicket haul in the first-innings, England couldn't sustain their momentum in the series.
