Bayeux Tapestry to go on show at the British Museum as it returns to England for first time in 900 years

The Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts the 1066 Norman invasion and Battle Of Hastings, is to return to England for the first time in more than 900 years.

French president Emmanuel Macron confirmed the return of the “national treasure” in his address to Parliament on Tuesday as part of his state visit.
