Bayer Leverkusen 'keen' to keep hold of Moussa Diaby amid interest from both Newcastle and PSG

Bayer Leverkusen have insisted they are keen to keep hold of Moussa Diaby this summer but would be willing to listen to suitable offers for the player. Diaby, 22, is attracting substantial interest from both Newcastle United and former club PSG this summer with his value thought to be in the region of €60-70m.

Scoring 17 goals as well as teeing up a further 14 assists last season, the French international is someone who is said to have caught the Magpies eye. No offers from either club are said to have been made just yet, with Newcastle's attention at present firmly set on tying up potential deals for both Hugo Ekitike and Sven Botman.

Reports in Germany have suggested the player is not 'unsellable' at present, but more available if the correct fee arrives for the former Crotone loanee. Swapping Ligue 1 for the Bundesliga back in 2019, Diaby has enjoyed success at the BayArena and helped Gerardo Seoane's side to a third placed finish last season.

Die Werkself will now once again compete in the Champions League, with it relatively unknown whether European football is a big enough desire to make a deal happen later this year.
