Battlefield 6 update notes 1.1.2.0 (Nov. 18): California Resistance event, new map, weapon improvements, more

The latest Battlefield 6 update notes from patch 1.1.2.0 brings some of the biggest changes the game has seen this year.

Arrives on Nov. 18 at 3am CT, the BF6 update highlights the launch of a new event, fresh map inspired by Southern California, and limited-time event mode. This update also focuses on player feedback, and revamps both aim assist and controller responsiveness while fine-tuning weapon precision, animation polish, and overall stability.

Portal mode opens up new creative doors, the battle pass gets exclusive content, and dozens of bugs have been fixed across the system. With that said, here’s a complete rundown of the Battlefield 6 update notes 1.1.2.0 released on Nov. 18.

Full Battlefield 6 update 1.1.2.0 patch notes

California Resistance Event, Eastwood Map, and Sabotage LTM

The headline addition is the California Resistance event, and it offers themed rewards and a temporary bonus path on the battle pass. Players gain access to Eastwood, which is a sprawling new map crafted in the likeness of Southern California, and is packed with tanks, helicopters, and golf carts in Conquest mode.

Every official mode gets an Eastwood variation, promising plenty of gameplay diversity. Sabotage is the new demolition-focused event mode, and it’s built around counterplay and strategic destruction.

New weapons, attachments, and Gauntlet updates

The BF6 1.1.2.0 patch adds the DB-12 Shotgun and M357 Trait Sidearm, both carrying performance tweaks that impact recoil and dispersion.

Meanwhile, Gauntlet mode brings Rodeo, which is a brand-new mission type featuring vehicle-centric battles and special bonus scoring for vehicle-based eliminations, and you can unlock the Slim Handstop underbarrel attachment through new challenges.

New tools and vehicles in Portal

Portal mode brings a sandbox map for creators, and it’s mainly aimed at balanced playfields and structured arena-style setups.

Builders also get the Golf Cart as a customizable vehicle, alongside fresh scripting features for music control, like mod.LoadMusic(), mod.PlayMusic(), whileFort Lyndon joins as a playable segment.

Aim assist and tuning overhaul

One of the community’s most requested changes lands in this update, aim assist, has been fully reset to its open beta setting. This results in consistent infantry targeting that no longer fluctuates based on zoom or combat distance.

Response times for controller input is sharper with this update, boosting aim accuracy and soldier movement.

Gameplay and technical fixes

Weapon accuracy and dispersion have been globally improved, especially for non-Recon sniper rifles including SMGs like the PW7A2 and KV9. Animation fidelity steps up with smoother transitions for vaulting, diving, and combat deaths. Deployable gadgets, from portable mortars to supply crates, have been polished.

Vehicles now behave correctly when entering or exiting, hit registration issues have been ironed out, and joystick deadzones for PS5 controllers on PC are fixed. The UI and HUD also get minor upgrades, including improved kill logs, better mission briefings, and clearer squadmate health bars.

Map, mode, and single-player improvements

Alongside the launch of Eastwood and Sabotage, matchmaking logic now discourages late-stage joins while round data is displayed correctly for all modes.

For single-player campaign, missions such as Moving Mountains and Always Faithful are polished with smoother visuals, synced subtitles, and fixed performance issues across NVIDIA and AMD hardware.

Audio and music sync

Sound design receives an overhaul, syncing battle pass effects, soldier movement, weapon fire, and ambient noises. New music urgency logic tunes up Portal mode, while front-end and loading music transitions are more streamlined.
