Unions have claimed an early victory in the fight to stop Bristol City Council shutting a rehabilitation centre for older people and transferring staff to Sirona.
It follows a meeting of the local authority’s cabinet where civic chiefs came under fire over the plans to close South Bristol Rehab Centre.
Employees are “angry and upset” and talks between the workers, the city council and the NHS community provider have been “shambolic” and meaningless, say Unison and the GMB.
