Hollywood star Leslie Grace penned a heartfelt tribute to Glasgow on social media as Batgirl filming comes to an end.
The HBO production has been filming since January, and has seen huge celebs like Michael Keaton, Brendan Fraser and J.K Simmons in Scotland's biggest city.
The 27-year-old actress thanked Scotland for "welcoming us with open arms" and admitted Glasgow is the "perfect city" for filming in.
She penned the emotional post on Instagram, writing: "but in advance - Scotland, thank u endlessly for welcoming us with open arms and gifting us the perfect city to create our Gotham.
"It’s not the end yet but i didn’t want to miss a moment to say thank you as I’m sitting here reflecting on all we’ve gotten to experience thanks to you. i will never forget my time here."
Leslie – who was born Leslie Martinez in New York’s Bronx before moving to Florida when she was 10 – started out as a singer and received three Latin Grammy Award nominations.
She then went into films, making her big-screen acting debut as Nina Rosario in the 2021 movie adaption of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights.
Batgirl is only her second acting job and Leslie is understandably proud to be starring in the first standalone Batgirl movie.
Florida native Leslie admitted she had never felt cold like she has since filming in Glasgow.
She said: "I didn’t know the meaning of cold until I got here.
“It’s super-cool that Glasgow has become Gotham [City] once again. It’s great for the Scottish film industry and it really is an incredible city to shoot in. The people, the businesses ... everybody has been so accommodating.
“It’s a beautiful city but I didn’t know what the meaning of cold was until I got here. In between filming I’ve had to really wrap up – especially when I’m just in my Batgirl costume.”
Leslie won’t forget her first visit to Scotland as it snowed on her birthday. In an Instagram post, she wrote: “Woke up in Scotland and it’s snowing for me. I haven’t seen snow in years.”
