‘Bat Out Of Hell’ Singer And Actor Meat Loaf Dies At 74

Meat Loaf, the singer and actor who created one of the bestselling albums of all time and starred in over 65 films, died on Thursday aged 74, according to an official statement on his Facebook page.

According to the statement, Meat Loaf died on Thursday night surrounded by his wife, two daughters and close friends.

The singer’s cause of death was not revealed and the official statement sought “privacy at this time.”

Tributes to the rock legend were led by pop superstar Cher who tweeted about working with Meat Loaf for his second studio album “Dead Ringer” and expressed her condolences.
