Bastian Schweinsteiger on why he's unimpressed with Man Utd and agrees with Jurgen Klopp

Rarely do you find a former Manchester United player and current Liverpool manager agreeing with each other, but that's what Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jurgen Klopp find themselves doing.

After losing a pulsating encounter between the two clubs 2-1 at Old Trafford on Monday, Klopp reckoned that his Liverpool "should have won the game" - a claim that sounds "ridiculous" by his own admission. But he's not alone in his controversial belief, as ex-United midfielder Schweinsteiger has now backed his German compatriot's opinion.

Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester in the wake of the epic victory for his old club, Bayern Munich legend Schweinsteiger - who spent 18 months with United during the twilight of his career - explained: "You know, of course, I support United and I'm very happy that they have won the match, but was it a great performance? In my opinion, if I compare it with other teams like the top teams in Europe, I wouldn't say so.
