Former Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has hailed Casemiro as "one of the best" ahead of Brazil's World Cup quarter-final with Croatia.
Casemiro has been one of the stand out players at the World Cup so far. The United man has played an instrumental role in Brazil's campaign as the Selecao reach the quarter-finals.
Erik ten Hag will be delighted to see the 30-year-old doing so well, with the Dutchman hoping that his midfield general can maintain his fine form upon his return to Old Trafford for the second half of the season. The United manager would have enjoyed watching Casemiro find the back of the net during their 1-0 win over Switzerland in the group stages, as the Reds look to add more goals from midfield.

The former Real Madrid star has been showered in praise by nearly everyone who has watched him play in Qatar, but now Casemiro can add one more name to that list.
Schweinsteiger has waxed lyrical about the Brazilian, as the former United man told club media just how impressed he has been with the club's new signing so far.
He said: "He is one of the best, definitely in that position, at the moment. He sniffs the danger quite well. He is a good passer. He scored an amazing goal against Switzerland as well and he is a very important piece for the Brazilian national team.
“He is one of the leaders there, and you can see that, and you can feel that and, yeah, I hope he can bring the sharpness back on the United field as well. But he's doing a very good job at the World Cup, yes."
