Basil Brush turned the ITV This Morning studio into a dance party as he surprised the hosts with an early appearance.
Hosting as part of an Easter line-up change, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary returned to the studio this morning. Today's guests included Britain's Got Talent breakout star Nick Edwards and comedy icon Basil.
Kicking off the show in style, Basil surprised the hosts several hours before his segment was due to start. Appearing from behind the chef's counter, he quickly turned the studio into a dance party.

Surprising Alison and Dermot, Basil quickly declared it was "party time". As colour changing lights appeared, the '90s dance track Boom Boom Boom by The Outhere Brothers started playing throughout the studio to represent his catchphrase 'Boom Boom'.
Following the dance break, Basil took a dig at Prime Minister Boris Johnson regarding 'PartyGate'. He said: "I noticed on the way to work here today everybody is at home because it's holiday time and we're working and according to Boris, my mate, you can party while you work. It is allowed so here we are partying and having fun."
Basil then presented both hosts with gifts, offering Alison a poetry book and Dermot an already eaten Easter egg. He also declared he has fully received his jabs for mange, mitosis and Saturday night fever.
