Barry Pride 2022: Who’s there, what’s happening and how to get tickets

Barry Pride is set to return on the 1 of October with a fully fledged event of it's own. With acts set to take to the stages and venues catering for visitors, here is what we know about the event to make sure you can make the most out of the upcoming festivities.

According to organisers, the event is set to celebrate the work of Peter Tatchell, a seasoned LGBT+ and human rights activist who has been involved in the sector for more than 50 years. It aims to enable people to connect with their community and be signposted to support organisations. It will also enable the celebrate the milestones reached in equality and equity for the LGBT+ community in Barry and other surrounding areas.

The first installment of Barry Pride took place in September 2019. Kicking off at 11am sharp and carrying on into the evening, Food and drinks stalls will also keep you going through the day with a mix of entertainment from drag artists and vocalists on the stage as well as a dance stage under the 'Witch's Hat'.

There will be representation from local business, national charities, and support agencies amongst the stalls.
