Barry from EastEnders shares Stars In Their Eyes transformation in tribute to Meat Loaf

Eastenders star Shaun Williamson shared a throwback look to his transformation as music legend Meatloaf in tribute to the star's death.

The actor, who played Barry Evans in the soap, proved himself to be a dead ringer for Meat Loaf when he transformed himself into the rocker.

Swapping his receding hairline for long locks, Williamson appeared as the Bat Out Of Hell singer on a soap special of the now axed ITV show, Stars In Their Eyes.

Taking to Twitter Shaun shared a link to the show adding: "RIP Meatloaf. It was an honour performing as him on Stars In Their Eyes.

The actor appeared on the show in 2013 and wowed fans with his uncanny likeness and powerful vocal range required to perform the incredible track.

As well as appearing in multiple pantomimes, the multi-talented star has also graced the West End in productions such as Guys and Dolls.

The tribute comes as music fans around the globe have been paying their respects to the singer who sold more than 100million albums worldwide and starring in 65 movies.

His family broke the news that the 74-year-old star had passed away saying in a statement: "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side.

"Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours."

Celebrities have also paid their respects to the star with many recalling their encounters with the singer who first made his mark in theatre before moving to music.

After working together in the early Eighties, Cher penned: 'Had So Much Fun With Meatloaf When We Did “Dead Ringer”. Am Very Sorry For His Family,Friends,& Fans. Am I imagining It, or Are Amazing Ppl In The Arts Dying every other Day'.

Piers Morgan also paid tribute adding: "RIP Meat Loaf, 74. One of rock music’s all-time great characters whose seminal iconic album Bat Out Of Hell is one of the biggest-selling records in history. A wondrously talented, flamboyant, funny, outrageous and rebellious chameleon. Sad news."
