Barry Ferguson was confused by Alfredo Morelos' appearance in an Everton shirt - and it hasn't helped shake the feeling that the striker will leave Rangers this summer.
The Colombian's future has been a hot topic at Ibrox all season but it's almost crunch time, with his contract expiring at the end of this season. He'll be a free agent as things stands and was spotted in blue over this international break, only this time in the colours of Premier League side Everton.
Former club captain and Record Sport columnist Ferguson was sent the image and insisted it surely had to be the colours of his employers he pulled on. But come the summer, the ex-midfielder reckons they won't be Morelos' any more, telling Go Radio: "I got it sent through, one of my mates sent it to me. I think he was just playing football on a public pitch in an Everton strip.
"You've got to have a Rangers strip on, why have an Everton strip? I think Morelos will be playing elsewhere in the summer, I don't think he will be staying at Rangers."
Ferguson was also asked about Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack being booed by a section of the Scotland support during Saturday's Euro 2024 qualifier win over Cyprus. And while only reading about it, didn't like the notion.
He added: "I only read it this morning as I didn't notice it while watching the game. It is disappointing as you want to support your players and for me I think Ryan Jack is a massive player for Steve Clarke, I'm sure he will be disappointed but I think it was only a few fans."
