A Palestinian and an Israeli mother led dozens of women barefoot through the streets of Rome as part of the “Mothers’ Call for Peace” initiative.
Participants walked through central locations including Piazza del Popolo, carrying their shoes and holding hands in a symbolic gesture.
The march was led by Reem Al-Hajajreh and Dr. Yael Admi, who represent groups promoting peace in their respective communities.
Women from different backgrounds joined the walk, taking part in the march across central Rome.
