Barclays has announced more bank branch closures with a further ten sites set to close later this year.
The sites will all shut in October and November in another blow for the UK high street - you can see a full list of places that are affected below.
It means Barclays will have closed 170 of its branches by the end of the year.
Barclays confirmed it was closing 28 of its sites in an announcement earlier this month.
The lender had already said it was shutting 15 of its sites back in June, and a further 27 branches before that just a month before in May.
The bank said in a statement to customers: “We want to reassure you that we’re here to help.
“We’ll stay in your community and you’ll be able to talk to us in person.
“We’re finalising the details of where we’ll be based, and when, to support you with your banking, and we‘ll share the details locally once confirmed.
“We’ll be regularly to help you with things like day-to-day banking and helping you manage your money, though there won’t be access to cash at this site.”
The closures are being blamed on more people banking online, which means less people are visiting banks in person.
If there are no banks in a town, you should be able to do some basic banking in your local post office.
Barclays has pop-up sites in local spaces, such as community centres, libraries and business hubs, where people can use its services.
You should call up your local bank to see what services are available near you.
A Barclays spokesperson said: “We continue to review and adjust our branch footprint to ensure it reflects the way that our customers are increasingly choosing to do their banking.
“We will always give twelve weeks’ notice of any branch closures, explaining the rationale for the decision, as well as highlighting alternative branches and ways to bank.
“This includes working with the local community to find different, more flexible ways for our colleagues to continue to provide local banking support, such as through pop-up presences.”
Barclays isn't alone in confirming bank closures this year.
More than 300 bank branches will shut forever in 2022 with high street names like Lloyds, HSBC, TSB and NatWest all affected.
Lloyds Banking Group last week confirmed a further 66 branches will shut permanently later this year - including 48 Lloyds Bank branches and 18 Halifax outlets.
