The first Barclays Eagle Lab in the East Midlands has been launched in partnership with De Montfort University Leicester to support the region’s start-up businesses.
It is one of 34 locations in the Barclays Eagle Lab network of co-working spaces for start-ups and scale-ups around the country, the largest network of its kind in the United Kingdom.
Its city home is in the university’s Innovation Centre, and it is being led by ecosystem manager Poonam Sharma, who has years of experience working as part of the city’s business community as a business manager for Barclays in Leicester. Her role will be to work with people across the region to understand and develop opportunities to support scale-up and growth.
