Barcelona will continue their pursuit of Bernardo Silva in January after La Liga increased their salary cap by €560million (£490m).
The Spanish giants tried to sign Silva, 28, in the summer but failed to agree a deal. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was willing to let the Portugal international go if he wanted to, insisting he wouldn't keep a player who didn't want to be at the club.
Silva is one of the best players in England, inspiring City to four Premier League titles in five seasons. He's also won seven more pieces of silverware in Manchester and is a regular for his country, earning 70 senior caps since making his debut in 2015.
