Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola faces a reunion with old club Barcelona in a charity friendly tonight.
The early-season exhibition has been organised to raise funds for the Luzon Foundation, in honour of Juan Carlos Unzue.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper and Guardiola assistant was diagnosed with the incurable nervous system condition ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) two years ago and club legends Xavi and Guardiola will face off to help the foundation’s research into the disease.
It will also give the two teams a chance to improve their sharpness ahead of their campaigns ratcheting up in intensity over the coming weeks and months.
