Banshees of Inisherin is hitting the cinemas today and here is all you need to know about the star-studded film.
The black comedy-drama tells the story of Padraic, who is left devastated when his buddy Colm puts an end to their long-standing friendship. The film premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 5 where it received critical acclaim.
The film stars some big names like Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon, and Barry Keoghan. Colin Farrell won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor and Martin McDonagh won the Golden Osella for Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival.

Where was the Banshees of Inisherin filmed?
The filming started in August 2021 in Inishmore, an island off the coast of Galway. Some scenes were also shot on Achill Island, Co Mayo.
