Colin Farrell, Barry Keoghan and Brendan Gleeson are falling behind in the Oscars odds as The Banshees Of Inisherin is now expected to miss out on the top prize at the awards.
BoyleSports have pushed the odds on Banshees winning the best picture gong out to 12/1 from 4/1 after Martin McDonagh’s movie drew a blank at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, which was dominated by sci-fi adventure Everything Everywhere All At Once. Its four SAG awards are the most ever won by a single movie, and it has now strengthened its status as Oscars favourite at red-hot odds of 1/20.
BoyleSports spokesperson Lawrence Lyons said: “The Banshees Of Inisherin is losing momentum just before the red carpet gets rolled out and the latest odds suggest it’ll be a case of red faces for those who piled in on a best picture Oscar making its way back to Ireland.”

Star Colin Farrell is now out to 12/1 from 5/1 to scoop the Oscar for best actor, according to the Irish gambling company, while Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan (12/1 from 6/1) now face missing out in the best supporting actor category to 1/50 frontrunner Ke Huy Quan.
On the bright side, Kerry Condon however retains a lively chance at 9/4 third favourite to be crowned best supporting actress at the 95th Academy Awards bash taking place in Los Angeles next weekend.
