The Bank of England (BoE) has issued a warning to those with £20 paper notes with the Queen's face in their possession.
From September 30th, £20 and £50 paper notes will be made redundant in order to tackle counterfeits. Despite the change looming, the BoE has urged the public not to change their money in a hurry.
The bank sent out a warning that long queues are already starting to form and people are expected to wait hours in some places. The public are able to swap their notes at any of their branches including the Post Office and other high street banks.
