The Bank of England (BoE) has issued a warning to anyone with specific £20 or £50 cash paper notes in the UK. The BoE has asked Brits to remain patient while a major change takes place.
In its warning, the BoE warned that large queues are forming. People could expect to wait for hours on end if they rush to change their notes, the BoE has said.
From September 30, paper £20 and £50 notes will be redundant as part of a shake-up to tackle fake money. With this change on the horizon, Brits have been rushing to change their bank notes.
