There are currently hours of delays on the A1M near Wetherby following a three-car crash.
Emergency services including an air ambulance were called to the scene after 9.30 this morning (Tuesday) to reports of a crash. West Yorkshire Police are currently still at the scene on the northbound carriageway at Junction 45.
Traffic is being diverted away from the scene via the exit and entry slip roads as the carriageway remains shut.

Highways England says there are delays of up to 60 minutes on the southbound carriageway and around 45 minutes northbound. Traffic Cameras show long queues of traffic on the busy carriageway and drivers have been urged to consider alternative routes.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Road closures have been put in place on both the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A1(M) following a collision involving three vehicles on the northbound carriageway at junction 45.
“Police were called shortly after 9.30am this morning (Tuesday, 27 December). Emergency services are at the scene.” Highways England told social media users that “this incident is likely to be ongoing for some time.”
A spokesperson told drivers: “The #A1M in #WestYorkshire remains closed northbound within J45 (#Wetherby) and southbound between J46 and J45 due to a serious collision. There's now a 60 minute delay southbound and 45 minutes northbound.
“Please consider alternative routes if you can.”
