Everton's interest in Dwight McNeil has reportedly been revived as the Blues look to strike a deal for the Burnley forward
Rafa Benitez was keen on signing the 22-year-old last summer, having identified the youngster as one of three wingers suited to the club. Indeed, the ECHO reported last September the Toffees would continue to monitor the progress of McNeil before deciding whether to renew their interest this summer.
It appears Everton have now chosen to pursue a move for the Rochdale-born star, with the Telegraph reporting the Blues are 'in talks' to complete a transfer and are currently in negotiations with the Clarets.

News of the Toffees' transfer approach has been circulating on social media, resulting in mixed reactions from the Everton fanbase. Fellow Burnley wide-man Maxwel Cornet had also emerged as a potential arrival at Goodison Park, leaving some supporters that a move for the Ivorian may now fail to materialise.
Others, meanwhile, are optimistic regarding the potential arrival of McNeil. Despite his young age, he has already made over 100 Premier League appearances and some fans are confident he can progress as a player if recruited by the club during the current transfer window. Below is a round-up of how this rumour is being viewed by Blues on social media.
