BENGALURU: There was a huge crowd at Nagasandra Metro station on the Green Line on Saturday as people thronged Ikea, the Swedish home furnishings retailer that opened its outlet here on June 22.
Traffic on Tumakuru Road was also affected after a large number of people turned up for the first weekend since the Ikea outlet opened. In fact, Ikea had to close the gate for some time after security guards couldn’t manage the crowd. While it took around three hours for many customers to enter the store, some were forced to return home without even gaining entry. Similar scenes are expected on Sunday as well.
