Banana Republic and La Ligne Team Up for a Fall Collection Starring Zoey Deutch

Banana Republic and La Ligne have joined forces for a new 36-style fall collaboration, bringing together the heritage retailer's archival design language and the New York-based label's approach to modern wardrobe staples. The collection launched September 9, accompanied by a campaign starring actor Zoey Deutch and photographed and directed by Andrew Jacobs.

The collaboration centers on the idea of everyday classics designed with longevity and versatility in mind. La Ligne founders Molly Howard, Valerie Macaulay, and Meredith Melling looked through Banana Republic's extensive archives while developing the collection, identifying details and silhouettes that could be reinterpreted through the label's own design vocabulary.

A Meeting of Two Design Languages

The founders found common ground between Banana Republic's heritage and La Ligne's emphasis on timeless essentials. Rather than simply adding La Ligne's signature stripes to existing Banana Republic styles, the collaboration combines recognizable codes from both brands.

Banana Republic's archival influence can be seen in details including asymmetrical buttons on a fluid viscose shirt dress and updated T-shirt collars. La Ligne's signature stripes appear across shirting, sweaters, T-shirts and accessories, while the number three serves as a subtle reference to the label's three founders, appearing in details such as three-button cuffs, buckle adjustments and stripes.

The collection spans outerwear, tailoring, dresses, skirts, trousers, tops, knitwear and accessories. Key pieces include a nubuck barn jacket, a belted suede wrap coat and an oversized cape trench with a removable corduroy collar. A wool suit with a nipped-in waist and wide-leg trousers adds a tailoring component, while knitwear includes chunky cotton sweaters and a cashmere crewneck with an asymmetrical hem and utility tie detail.

The color palette is rooted in autumnal neutrals, with stripes and touches of blue providing contrast. Across the collection, the brands emphasize pieces intended to work across different settings and styling combinations.

Zoey Deutch Fronts the Fall Campaign

Deutch stars in the campaign imagery and film, which were created by Jacobs in a Tribeca loft. The setting features minimalist, eclectic décor and a lived-in atmosphere, while the campaign takes a documentary-inspired approach to showing the collection.

The campaign follows Deutch through a series of looks, highlighting the collection's layering possibilities and mix of textures. Banana Republic describes Deutch as bringing her own style and personality to the campaign, while Fashionista reported that the brands chose her to represent the collaboration's combination of contemporary and enduring style.

Her involvement also reflects the collection's focus on clothes intended for different parts of the day. The campaign presents the pieces in a range of layered combinations, from striped knits and T-shirts to tailored outerwear.

The Collection Arrives for Fall

The Banana Republic x La Ligne collection is available beginning September 9, 2026, at select Banana Republic stores and online. Encore loyalty members received early access on September 8. Prices range from $20 to $1,500, covering accessories as well as higher-priced outerwear and tailoring.

The collaboration arrives during La Ligne's 10th anniversary year, adding a heritage-focused partnership to a milestone year for the label. The founders' archive-driven approach gives the collection a clear connection to Banana Republic's history while maintaining the contemporary wardrobe perspective that has defined La Ligne since its founding.
