An art festival for children and a harrowing play about Ireland's housing crisis are just some of the shows on offer this Spring at the Axis theatre in Ballymun.
There is a variety of workshops, stand up comedy and arts festivals to go and visit this Spring in Ballymun. "We'll put a spring in your step this season with children's events and workshops, theatre, stand-up comedy, music and more," programme coordinator Aifric Ní Ruairc said.
Starting with the Sm(all) Folk children's arts festival which is running in February and March and ending with a production of John. B Keane's classic play 'The Matchmaker' there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Axis Theatre this Spring.

The art festival for children which will take place later this month will include a Teddy Bear’s picnic, Captain Splash’s eggcellent adventures, hear our voice workshop and much more. The festival will be the perfect day out for your little ones and tickets will be available to buy soon from their website.
'Welcome to Ireland - Breakdown of an Irish Tour Guide' is described by the theatre as "a show that confronts Ireland’s rental crisis and how one man battles to keep afloat in a city sinking under greed. A story told with humour, passion, truth and a comically unfiltered mind."
A live performance entitled 'Lucia' will include a live guitar and strings concert in April. For more information on the Spring schedule and to book tickets check out the Axis theatre website here.
