Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey: Indiana roundup

Indiana is holding elections, including for city council and mayoral offices, on Nov. 7, 2023. A number of candidates running in these elections completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

Below is a selection of responses from the candidates who filled out the survey as of Oct. 17. To read each candidate’s full responses, click his or her name at the bottom of the article.

Stephanie Crandall (D) is running for Fort Wayne City Council At-large, and the general election is on Nov. 7. Here’s how Crandall responded to the question: What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

“My passion is local government and how it ties into all areas of public policy. In my current role, I work on issues related to workforce, infrastructure, neighborhoods, climate, immigration, transportation, federal funding, and much more. I’m working hard to make sure that every person in Fort Wayne also has the ability to pursue their passions to strengthen our city. I also try to educate my neighbors about the role government can have in addressing and convening people to tackle complex community challenges.”
