Following a preseason game in which the Tennessee Titans’ run game didn’t look as potent as you’d like, NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger broke down a couple of plays in which Tennessee’s offensive line thrived, subsequently allowing its running backs to make a play for the offense.
This wasn’t the Titans’ best performance on the ground by any means and, in fact, this was probably one of Tennessee’s weaker showings this preseason, outside of a few plays.
Nevertheless, there were some positive moments the Titans can be proud of, which you’ll see Baldy discuss in the video posted below.
During the game, Tennessee had two fantastic runs, one by Tyjae Spears and one by Julius Chestnut, both of which showed exactly what the Titans’ O-line can be when its rolling as a unit.
Baldy especially gives a shout-out to Andre Dillard, Peter Skoronski and Aaron Brewer for their ability to get a hat on the guy across from them and create holes for the ball carrier to cut back into.
.@Titans newly constructed offensive line went up against a nasty technically sound @patriots front. Their wasn’t much daylight. On these 2 runs the #Titans created that daylight. Fun matchup #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/XGFNANOwO1

Despite these impressive plays, it was a rather underwhelming performance all around for a group that had looked much-improved the two weeks prior.
Head Coach Mike Vrabel even stated after the game that the starting offensive line will need to have a bounce back week(s) of practice in preparation for their Week 1 game against the Saints.
For everybody’s sake, let’s hope Tennessee’s O-Line can get back to looking like a competent group now that the preseason games are officially in the rearview mirror.
