Baldur's Gate 3's Neil Newbon wants to reprise his role, but when people say 'this character's just like Astarion, would you like to play them?' he's 'like not really, no'

Astarion, after being asked whether he'd like a kiss, winces in the opposite of anticipation in Baldur's Gate 3.

The actor behind Astarion, Neil Newbon, has gone on record as being keen to play Astarion again. Everyone's favourite spawn from Baldur's Gate 3 has stolen hearts (including mine), and you'd be forgiven for thinking Newbon would jump at the chance to play something similar—not so.

In an interview with challenge runner Luality (who has personally impressed Swen Vincke), Newbon explained that while he'll always come back to a role, he doesn't want to get typecast as a flamboyant vampire forevermore.
