On Wednesday, Buccaneers running back Rachaad White revealed that quarterback Baker Mayfield discovered the Vikings’ signals during Tampa Bay’s 20-17 win over Minnesota on Sunday.
“I just remember Bake came in the locker room literally at halftime and said, ‘I got it. We got all these signals,’” White revealed.
However, the Buccaneers quarterback didn’t confirm the information to the media. Instead, while speaking at a Wednesday press conference, Mayfield took a shot at the Astros instead of answering whether White’s story is true.
“I know I’m in Tampa but I’m a Texas Rangers fan, not a Houston Astros fan,” Mayfield said. “So we’re not going to condone that.”

There is nothing illegal about discovering an opposing team’s signs on the field in the NFL.
When Mayfield was playing well with the Browns, he carried himself with a high level of confidence and played like he had a chip on his shoulder. If Tampa Bay continues to win, this could be the beginning of the return for the old Mayfield.
