It’s always good to have a sense of humor when you’re a professional athlete, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield wasn’t afraid to poke fun at himself during this year’s Pro Bowl Games.
One of Thursday night’s many competitors, Mayfield took a playful jab at himself for throwing a season-ending pick in the playoffs to Detroit Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes that halted a possible Tampa Bay comeback in the NFC divisional round.
Mayfield resurrected his career with the Bucs this past season and is now a Pro Bowl alternate at his position, which means he’s probably more than fine with a little self-deprecation.

Mayfield will be a free agent after this season, even if a return to Tampa Bay is his most likely route after playing so well there.
We’re sure he’d take back that awful pick in Detroit if he could, but at least he’s not taking it so seriously that he can’t find some humor in it. After all, to err is human, and occasionally funny.
