Baker creates cheeky cupcakes to mark International Women's Day - and each is unique

A talented baker is marking International Women's Day by selling vulva-shaped cupcakes - and making sure every single one is as unique as women are.

Georgie Rowe from Mrs Browns off North Hill in Plymouth has teamed up with local artist Leah Hayler to celebrate all women with the new cupcake range.

Promoting the venture on Facebook, she writes: "We are super excited to be celebrating beautiful women all across the world", reports Plymouth Live.

Each cupcake will set you back £3 and comes with a piece of artwork from Leah.

International Women's Day, which falls on March 8, is celebrated globally to highlight the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The cupcakes will be available all day from the Gibbon Lane bakery for anyone who wants to mark the occasion in a unique way.

Writing on Facebook, Georgie said: "Join us on Wednesday, March 8 to celebrate International Women's Day at Mrs Browns Bakery! We will be selling our fabulous Vulva cupcakes, which come in all shapes and sizes.

"With each purchase of a cupcake, you will get a free print too! We have teamed up with an independent female artist @leahjhayler who is creating some beautiful work. We are super excited to be celebrating beautiful women all across the world."

The IWD theme this year is EmbraceEquity. The IWD website states: "For International Women's Day and beyond, let's all fully #EmbraceEquity. Equity isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a must-have.

"A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society's DNA. And it's critical to understand the difference between equity and equality.

"The aim of the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign theme is to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren't enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action."
