Joe Lycett is favourite to replace Matt Lucas as the host of The Great British Bake Off.
The comedian shocked fans as he announced today that he had quit as host of the Channel 4 baking show after three years at the helm alongside Noel Fielding.
Matt made the announcement on Twitter to surprised fans, as he admitted he had to prioritise his Fantasy Football League show and would be waving goodbye to Bake Off ahead of the next series.
Now Ladbrokes have revealed who are the bookies' favourites to replace Matt in his hosting role after his big announcement.
Fellow comedian Joe is favourite to take over as host, with odds of 7/2, whilst former Bake Off winner and much-loved TV presenter Nadiya Hussain has odds of 4/1 to be host, with Chicken Shop Date Amelia Dimoldenberg also in the running at odds of 5/1.
Strictly stars Ellie Taylor (6/1), Jayde Adams (7/1) and Judi Love (8/1) are also possible options for hosts whilst Tom Allen, who had previously presented Bake Off: The Professionals is at odds of 10/1 to be host.
Other possible names on the list including I'm A Celebrity stars Seann Walsh (12/1) and Babatunde Aleshe (20/1) whilst Rylan Clark-Neal (20/1), Joel Dommett (20/1) and Lee Mack (20/1) are also potential hosts.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said of the current odds on favourite to replace Matt: "Matt Lucas was the cherry on the Bake Off cake and it's certainly going to take a big personality to replace him.
"The early odds suggest that honour could be heading in Joe Lycett's direction, although we wouldn't be surprised to see Channel 4 chiefs make a move for Amelia Dimoldenberg."
Matt announced he would be leaving the show in a sweet post he shared on Twitter today.
" Farewell Bake Off! It's been a delicious experience and I can't imagine a more fun way of spending my summers. But it's become clear to me that I can't present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside all my other projects," he wrote on Twitter.
"So, after three series and 51 episodes, I am cheerfully passing the baguette on to someone else."
He added: "I would like to give my warmest thanks and gratitude to everyone at Love Productions and Channel 4 and to Noelipops, Paul, Dame Prue, the crew and, of course, the wonderful bakers for welcoming me into the tent.
"I wish whoever takes over the very best and I can't wait to tune into the next series without already knowing who won!"
