This year's nominations for the BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises have been announced as keen television watchers will be hoping to catch up on the best of the year's shows.
It has been an incredible year of television, with The Crown and This Is Going To Hurt taking over our screens.
The royal drama is up for awards and is one of the most popular choices of programmes over the last year.
Other shows like The Responder and Somewhere Boy are up for the prestigious Drama Series award. Other nominated shows include Bad Sisters and Sherwood.
However, Happy Valley seems to be missing from this year's nominations despite being a huge success.
Fans don't need to worry as the eligibility window for this year's event was between the first day of 2022 to the last. Happy Valley will be eligible for next year's awards ceremony.
The British crime drama gripped the nation with its third season earlier this year. The finale even made history with 7.5 million viewers tuning in.
Sarah Lancashire, who stars in the drama, was nominated for Leading Actress for her role in Julia.
The BBC was the clear leader with a total of 81 nominations for both television and craft categories, while Channel 4 came second with 33, Netflix has 24 and ITV 19.
Good Morning Britain, Taskmaster and The Graham Norton Show all received nominations.
Sue Perkins and Rosie Jones got their first BAFTA nominations for Sue Perkins: Perfectly Legal and Rosie Jones' Trip Hazard.
The Crown’s nominations include leading actress for Imelda Staunton playing the Queen and supporting actor for Salim Daw as Mohamed Al-Fayed.
In the International category, The Bear, White Lotus, Netflix's Wednesday and Dahmer all received nominations.
Jane Millichip, chief executive of Bafta, said: “Huge congratulations to all our nominees.
“Today a record number of entries in television and craft resulted in 128 nominations, demonstrating fantastic strength and depth in programming and talent in 2022.
“We are also delighted to launch a brilliant new TV awards partnership with P&O Cruises, who will not only be our partners on this extraordinary celebration of creative excellence, they will also be providing valuable support for our remit as a leading arts charity.”
Meanwhile, the awards ceremony will take place on May 14 later this year, and people may want to catch up on any of the nominees they missed in the build-up to the event.
This year’s Bafta TV Awards ceremony will be hosted by Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan on May 14.
