BBC Breakfast viewers were left cringing after watching what they have dubbed an "unprofessional" interview with James Blunt.
The 47-year-old You Are Beautiful singer, who is equally as famous for his sarcastic Twitter persona these days, had appeared on the show to promote his upcoming tour.
However, fans were left raising their eyebrows as he was questioned on plastic surgery and other random topics, prompting some awkward silences throughout.
Speaking to hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty, James was shown a montage of his music videos.
Charlie asked: "You appear to be getting younger – can I reflect on that for a moment?
"Looking at that video a moment ago, and looking at you now – what's going on?"
James replied: "I think with plastic surgery, little and often is the technique I'd advise."
Charlie responded: "As you well know, people will think that's a double bluff."
Yet James said: "It's not, no."
He added after some awkward silence: "I just… I don't know where to go from here."
Following some further cringey questioning, viewers were left confused by the incredibly random questions in the interview.
One tweeted: "Breakfast television on BBC should either get moved to CBBies or axed. I have never seen anything more unprofessional as the Mr Blunt interview. Naga and Charlie pathetic. It was on par with Dan Walkers out of depth questioning."
While another fumed: "Very possibly the worst interview I’ve ever heard. Well done James for putting up with their inane questioning with such good grace.'; 'Who writes the questions for guests on @BBCBreakfast? They’re f***ing ridiculous. Thank god @JamesBlunthas a sense of humour."
A third wrote: "Slightly cringing at this interview on @BBCBreakfast with @JamesBlunt “which bunk, in the corner, is it the best bunk”. Uncomfortable.'; 'I only heard a small it if this interview, but I must say that there are several times when one or the other of these two presenters are stone deaf to proper and respectful questioning of guests. This day was an inexcusable disaster. Sorry to James."
