The ITV hosts were photographed at Westminster Hall and it appeared that they were skipping the public line, where thousands of mourners gathered to pay their respects to the late Queen. ITV bosses have released a statement confirming that the two presenters did not jump the line, and were working to cover the story for This Morning.
Since the backlash started, the usually beloved pair have been viciously trolled and a petition calling for them to be sacked has received more than 37,000 signatures and counting. Now, backstage reports have emerged that both Holly, 41, and Phil, 60, are devastated over their treatment as staff are rallying around the under-siege pair, reports the Mirror.
