A Leeds councillor has come under fire after writing that the monarchy should be abolished in a tribute book for the Queen.
Aberford Parish Council member Tyler Callum Wilson, has been accused of using the space for condolences for his "own attention for politics", and told to "pipe down". It comes after the councillor shared a photograph of his message on social media.
His message, where he changed the national anthem to "God Save Yorkshire", included a small tribute to Her Majesty before he declared he does not vouch for the monarchy. The message was writing in a book of condolences, kept in Leeds Civic Hall, where flowers have been laid for Her Majesty.

Wilson's tweet said: "Yesterday I signed the book of condolence for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second. I call upon the people of Leeds to also demand for a United Republic.
"No kings amongst men."
A photograph of his message read: "HM the Queen is dead. Long may she rest. She was Britain personified – across history and generations – her son is not.
"It is time for the United Kingdom to become the United Republic – God save Parliament – God save Yorkshire – down with the Pretender."
But he quickly came under fire.
One tweeter said: "You just wanted attention for your politics. Pretty despicable and this will haunt you and your career for a long time to come."
Another added: "A shame you chose a time during national mourning to air your political views; compounded by the fact you used the signing the book of condolence as a platform to do so.
"Speaks volumes about your lack of judgement." Councillor Wilson has since apologised and said he is "sorry for any offence caused", but wants "Britain to be better".
