A coroner has ruled that a baby who died shortly after his mum gave birth would still be alive is she had not been turned away twice by the nearest hospital.
Archie Batten lived for just 27 minutes after mum Rachel Higgs had a prolonged labour at home on September 1, 2019.
She was twice refused admission to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (QEQM) in Margate, Kent because she was not in active labour, despite suffering from pain and vomiting.
