- Three baby rabbits were rescued after an extraordinary journey that saw them discovered on a drilling rig deep in the North Sea.
- The intrepid trio are believed to have stowed away in a shipping container in Dundee, which was then transported to Aberdeen and loaded onto a vessel bound for the Cygnus gas field.
- Two of the bunnies were initially spotted running around the pipe deck of the Valaris Norway rig, part of Ithaca Energy’s Cygnus platform, and were safely caught by the crew.
- A third, equally adventurous, rabbit was later found hiding in a forklift pocket of the container when the vessel returned to the rig.
- All three rabbits are now safely reunited and doing well at New Arc Wildlife Rescue near Ellon in Aberdeenshire.
