DIY retailer B&Q has a £6 plant for sale that will help stop mould growing in your house or flat. The room most likely to become mouldy is your bathroom - as that's where you'll get the most moisture after a bath or shower.
And if the room doesn't have windows it's at greatest risk of mould growing due to a lack of ventilation. And according to Checkatrade, it can cost as much as £900 to get mould removed from an entire home. But what you may not realise, is that there are some plants which can significantly reduce the risk of mould, M.E.N reports.
Cleaning expert Kerry Hale from Mira Showers told the Express: “Because the bathroom is often the most humid room in the house, mould and mildew is a common problem that many – if not all of us – have experienced at some point, mainly caused by lingering moisture, leaky taps, and damp cellulose materials.
