Discount retailer B&M has announced plans to open a large new store in Birmingham which will create 60 jobs.
The company has signed a deal to launch at The Fort shopping park in Castle Bromwich, combining three vacant units to create a 25,000 sq ft shop next to the existing Sports Direct.
Work to prepare the new store is expected to start early next year with the opening due to be in the autumn. News of this latest lettings comes ahead of the launch next week of a new Five Guys burger restaurant at The Fort.
Five Guys has taken 2,900 sq ft of space next to The Perfume Shop on the park's north side, with two other outlets under offer to as yet unnamed food outlets.
The shopping park was acquired last year by US investor Invesco Real Estate in partnership with London-based George Capital for an undisclosed fee.
The Fort's asset manager Dan Clark said: "These new arrivals are great news for The Fort and for our shoppers.
"We continue to buck national trends on footfall and are making our investment in The Fort's future because we know it is a vital part of Birmingham's retail mix.
"By improving the customer experience, we will continue to offer an attractive way to access our great retailers thanks to our location."
