There are plenty of ways that you can renovate your home on a budget, starting with DIY. One B&M shopper has cleverly transformed his living room using a bargain £9.99 item.
Daniel Huszar, 30, wanted to create a panel feature wall in his lounge, without spending a fortune on the job. Instead he created the on-trend look by purchasing a simple roll of wallpaper from B&M.
He then bought wallpaper mix for £2.99, which meant the entire wall cost him just £13 to transform - and it has given his living room a completely different look.

"I’d seen some wallpaper panelling ideas on Facebook by using wallpaper, and the layout of my lounge wasn’t really working," Daniel told DIY On A Budget UK.
“It felt quite cold, so I thought I would give the idea a try and do a feature piece. I rearranged the lounge, moved the TV over and measured the gap between the frames.
I then started putting up the paper and used two and a half widths for this."
The wallpaper from B&M was called 'wooden slats wallpaper' which gives a rustic wood-effect look.
"The wallpaper cost £9.99 for a roll which was more than enough for the feature. The wallpaper paste mix cost £2.99 so it was a total of less than £13 to create all together.," Daniel said.
"It took approximately an hour and a half to do, and I have never put wallpaper up myself before I just held the roll at the top of the wall, dropped it to the bottom and just put a little cut where the skirting was.
"I cut this to size and then pasted the paper and put it on the wall. I just fiddled around with the paper till it was right and matched up with no gaps," he added.
"A tip for novices would be to get a paper that doesn’t have a difficult match, as that would’ve been much harder."
Daniel is impressed with his DIY feature wall which he says completely changed the look of his lounge.

"When it was finished, I tidied everything up and didn’t really look at it because I wanted to see how it looked when you walked into the room," he said.
"So that’s what I did - I went out, shut the door, and walked back in. I really love the wall and am proud that I did it myself.
"It’s made the room feel so much warmer, with a feature and focus rather than just plain walls with some pictures on them.
"I love doing things on a budget as it feels like an achievement. It’s really warmed up the lounge and made it feel so, so homely. Being able to achieve this look for £13 is incredible and it just changes the whole lounge and feeling of the room!”
