B&M is selling a new flavour of the popular Jammie Dodgers biscuits.
Formerly known as B&M Bargains, the shop is the only UK store to have the new flavour from the brand. The announcement came last week starting May 16.
The company wrote on Instagram: "We've gone bananas for these new MINIONS Ba-na-nas favoured Jammie Dodgers! You can grab these banana flavoured jammie dodgers for just 50p.
"The perfect snack for kids and grown-ups alike. They're full of fun with NO artificial colours or flavours - plus they're suitable for vegans too! @jammiedodgersofficial LIKE if you want to try these?"
The original Jammie Dodgers usually have a red, jammy centre, or sometimes use apple jam. This is the first time that the popular brand has ventured into other flavourings.
The banana centre and banoffee flavoured biscuit for the shortcake are all inspired by the Jammie Dodgers collaboration with the Minions. The Minions are popular animated characters from the film franchise Despicable Me, and also star in their own film.
However, customers have given the new biscuits mixed reviews. After hearing about the new flavour one fan commented: "I must get these and soon." Another added, "Need these in my life #gobananas ".
Other shoppers do not seem to be pleased with the banana flavouring. One commented, by saying: "A definite no!" Others added "No thanks" and "That's so wrong" and added crying emojis.
The official Jammie Dodgers page also announced the biscuit collaboration with the Minions on their Instagram account. It wrote: "GO BA-NA-A’s with @minions!! We’ve been busy inventing something delicious, mischievous and a little bit cheeky!
"Introducing banana flavoured Jammie Dodgers, combining dodgers classic shortcake, infused with a banoffee flavoured biscuit and a fruity banana jam. You’d be bananas not to try them!
"Available NOW in @bm_stores across the UK."
