Ayrshire residents have woken up to a flock of sheep in their gardens.
The farm animals bizarrely made a rare appearance in a residential area near Barassie, Troon.
Residents in Milton Crescent were left stunned by the wooly visitors who popped up outside homes first thing this morning.
Pictures from the scene show the flock parading onto driveways in the estate, with some sheep almost at people's front doors.
The eyewitness who took the pictures told Ayrshire Live how sheep were spotted grazing on gardens and had left poo along the road.
The resident who was walking their dog at the time said: "I was headed to walk my dog on the golf course and the sheep had left a trail of sheep poo along the road, and when I saw them they were walking along the road and then they went into a garden and munched on a someone's front lawn."
One stunned local told Ayrshire Live: "We just woke up, looked out the window and there was a flock of sheep walking through our gardens.
“They looked as surprised as we were.”
Residents were left puzzled at how the sheep ended up there in the first place, with the street backing onto a golf course and the nearest farm around a mile away - passing through a vast area of homes.
Another resident joked: "Ewe must be joking. I really don't know how they wool get home?!"
The sheep did eventually make their way home after police were called to help find the baaad animals owner.
Officers made contact with a local farmer who then herded them back to where they belong.
