People in Ayrshire who have not yet had their first and second Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged to get jabbed before the offer ends at the end of the month.
Coronavirus vaccinations are being offered on a drop-in basis from Monday.
Community venues around Ayrshire will offer jabs for those eligible, including people due a spring booster vaccine; Over-75s and those with a weakened immune system who are aged 12 years and over.
People aged 12 to 49 years who are not at higher risk of severe coronavirus illness – and are yet to complete their course for Covid-19 vaccines doses one and two – can also receive the vaccination before the offer of a first or second dose ends nationally on Friday, June 30.
Those aged five to 11 years, who are eligible through the spring booster programme, still need an appointment to attend and cannot drop-in. Appointments should be booked by calling the national helpline on 0800 0303 8013.
The details of upcoming drop-in clinics available in Ayrshire are published here.
Lynne McNiven, NHS Ayrshire & Arran public health director, said: “If you are due either a spring booster dose to top up your protection, or you are aged five to 49 years and did not complete your original course, now is the time to come forward.
“The offer of a first and second dose for people under 50 who are not at higher risk of severe coronavirus ends in Scotland on June 30.
“Vaccination remains our best protection against serious coronavirus illness, so I’d encourage everyone to take the vaccines they are offered.”
Those who would prefer to make an appointment can do so either by using the national online booking portal or by calling the helpline on 0800 030 8013 to arrange.
