Police have released details about an indecent exposure suspect this evening.
Cops are trying to trace a man who exposed himself near Irvine beach on Saturday night.
Officers raced to the scene after the alarm was raised around 5pm near Marine Drive but police say there was no trace of the man when they arrived.
Detective sergeant Keith Hyndes says the incident appears to be isolated and that that police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
The man is described as mid to late 50s, of skinny build, with short grey spikey hair, grey facial hair and eyebrow piercings. He was wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and was carrying a dark coloured back pack.
DS Hyndes added: “This was an upsetting incident for those involved and it’s important we trace the person responsible.
“I would like to reassure the public that it appears to be an isolated incident however anyone who has information or witnessed what happened is urged to contact police.”
