Ayr United and Kilmarnock will go head-to-head this season – in the SPFL Reserve League.
The sides will face off on Tuesday, November 1 at Cumnock Juniors' Townhead Park, which is where the Honest Men's second string will play their home matches.
A total of 10 teams will participate in the Reserve League which returns after a two-year absence. Each club will play nine games spread out from September to April.
On top of that, a Reserve League Cup will also be played and involve two more clubs – Dunfermline Athletic and Partick Thistle. The draw for this tournament has yet to be made.
Ayr begin their Reserve League campaign on Tuesday, September 6 with a visit from Queen of the South while Killie make the trip to Tayside for a Dens Park showdown with Dundee.
Both Ayr and Killie will play five of their nine league fixtures at home.
