An Ayrshire bowler who feared he’d never walk again has capped an emotional return to the Scotland Commonwealth Games team – 28 years after his first appearance.
Craigie Bowling Club’s Garry Hood says could have cried when he was told he was selected for this summer’s showpiece.
Garry, 61, has been included in the eight-strong Scotland Para Lawn Bowls team that will head across the border to Birmingham in search of medals.
